Charlottetown

We were at sea for a day before reaching Charlottetown. That day at sea three classes were held in the morning. Gregg Averitt did a 101 Class for newcomers to the group.

Janet Dove’s presentation on Jam Etiquette came next and it was mandatory if one wanted to join in on the nightly jams.

Each took and hour and so did Jorge Santini’s/Kathy Wieland’s workshop on writing music. That’s it. We devoted the rest of the cruise (until after visiting New York) to tourism.

We took a Hop-On, Hop-Off tour  of the town to see what Charlottetown was all about. We returned for lunch on the Lido deck of the Zuiderdam. This deck also includes a swimming pool and a few hot tubs plus a hamburger/hot dog bar. Yum!

We disembarked again and walked along the water to see a giant 2019 sign. As we were about to take a picture of it other tourists butted in and decided to climb the numbers. We couldn’t take the picture we wanted. You’ll see the photo. As for the climbers…they were erased!

We moved up to the center of town where the people were enjoying shopping, dining, seeing and being seen. It’s a cute town. We headed back to the ship and soon we were on our way to the next destination.
