Getting home to California was the last leg of our trip. Jorge lives in Woodland Hills and Ellen in Oxnard. Going on trips is so much fun and getting home is also a joy.

There aren’t many pictures today, as you might guess. However, for our friends in those areas of the country that might think they experiencing a drought, well, they might think twice when they see the pictures of Southern California.

We are not in a drought. It may look like it, but no. This is the Californian’s perspective.

This trip we rode on U.S. Highway 50 all the way from Ellen’s home in Winchester VA to Salina UT. We had previously gone through the western part of the route and had no need to do it again.

We wanted to ride the highway because we had heard from others that this was a must-do thing. What did we find? West Virginia had the curviest road. Ohio had some of 50 on an Interstate. The rest was mostly two lanes, going and coming. So, there were few, if any, big rigs riding with us. Until we got to the far west most of the country was very, very green.

We hope you enjoyed the website. Hopefully, more of our travels will be posted online beginning in September or October. Are we mad? Yes, mad with joy!
